So I never wrote a proper post about my honeymoon and experience on Royal Caribbean so I thought I would sit down and share. My husband and I decided a few months before our wedding that we would go on cruise. Neither of us were cruise virgins so we knew already that we both loved them. When deciding where to go we agreed on Cayman Islands and Mexico. I had been to Mexico several times already but had never been to the Caymen Islands so I was excited. We both had a blast on our cruise and want to share it with everyone else.
To start with I want to talk about our room. It was amazing. We splurged and got a balcony room and it was the best decision we made. It made our room feel so much bigger. It was nice to be able to sit outside in the mornings for breakfast or watching the sunset at night. Plus I feel like every time we left the room they came in and cleaned. The room was just perfect and the balcony suite is the way to go.
We sailed on Brilliance of the Seas with Royal Caribbean and this ship is not the biggest in their class but it was big enough. There were so many activities on the ship from shows, movies, rock climbing, and just overall a whole lot to do. We particularly loved the shows. They were well put together and very entertaining and this is coming from someone who loves Broadways shows.
One of the main highlights people look forward to on a cruise is the food. Let me tell you it did not disappoint. Every night was something different and unique. Our waitress Rosa was exceptional. She went above and beyond any expectations.
Our first port we visited was the Cayman Islands. This was my personal favorite port. The ocean was so blue and the island was so fun to explore. We walked and walked and ate lunch at this amazing restaurant that I can’t remember the name of. I just really enjoyed spending time on this island.
Now for Mexico. I had been to Mexico a few times and on the island of Cozumel once before and toured the Mayan Ruins so I knew I wanted to do something different. This time we decided to do a tour with Discover Mexico. Basically its a walking tour through a big museum. While there you learn how to make your own chocolate bar and watch a Mayan tradition. It was a lot of fun. We both felt like it was a unique and fun experience.
Overall we had the best experience going on our honeymoon with Royal Caribbean. It was relaxing, fun, and full of adventure and yummy food. We already can’t wait until we get to go on another one. If you are planning a vacation or honeymoon I would recommend going on a cruise. After you book it everything else is already taken care of which makes for a fun and relaxing vacation.
