BH Cosmetics Brush 29: This is the perfect brush for blush. I never use another brush to put on my blush. It works for powder or cream and blends it all out beautifully.
Sigma F80: I have loved this brush for years and its still one of my favorites. Its perfect for blending out my foundation. It feels so soft when applying liquid foundation and just gives a flawless look. Its a an oldie but definitely a goodie.
Real Techniques Contour Brush: I have never loved a brush for my powder contour as much as I’ve loved this one. Its extremely precise and perfect for contouring specific areas of your face.
Morphe M330 Blending Crease: This brush is so soft and blends my crease perfectly. Plus its super affordable and works better than any of my more expensive makeup brushes.
Real Techniques Shading Brush: I absolutely love this brush. Its density is perfect to apply powder eyeshadows. I also love using this with my Colour Pop Super Shock Shadows.
I was browsing around Walgreens, as you do, when suddenly out of the corner of my eyes new Wet n Wild products catch my attention. Naturally I rushed over, who am I kidding I walked and probably super slow too. Anyways I saw the Photofocus line and instantly fell in love…I mean these are the most expensive looking products Wet n Wild has ever released but we will get into that soon enough. While looking through the stash of foundation I couldn’t find my color anywhere, darn my pale skin, finally at the very back and in the wrong spot I got the very last one. Then I proceeded to find the concealer and I did. The lightest shade looked to dark but I shrugged my shoulders and bought it anyways, I can’t be stopped when it comes to makeup.
Now for the actual review of the products. I have been wearing both of these products and I feel like I have a pretty good judgement on these product. First off I will say if you have dry skin you will absolutely hate the foundation. It dries out on your skin so quickly. My skin is normal so I didn’t mind it so much. The foundation is a great color match for my skin and gave a really nice Matte finish. I wore this foundation my whole work day and noticed that it settled into my pores and really extenuated them. This foundation is horrible and for six bucks it doesn’t get much cheaper! The concealer is the real surprise for me. I originally thought it would be to dark for my skin tone but it ended up being a perfect match. It blends out beautifully and does everything you want a concealer to do. Overall these products are so inexpensive and the quality is not bad either.
Body butters are a must for me when the weather starts to get cooler. My skin dries up literally the first day it’s even a little bit chilly. If you don’t know what body butters are I would describe them as a lotion that is like a millions times more moisturizing than your typical everyday lotion. I love them and they work miracles on my skin. I have 3 that stand out above the rest.
First of let’s talk about Bath and Body Works body butters. They are amazing. Paris Amour is my favorite scent of theirs. I have the candle, perfume, body spray, lotion, and of course the body butter. This stuff smells amazing! I usually put this one on in the morning to compliment my perfume as I’m about to start my day. This one is a tad greasy so it’s not great for nighttime use.
Creightons Rasberry Revive is my go to nighttime skin moisturizer. I love how it feels on my skin. It goes on smooth and doesn’t leave you greasy. After application it has this cooling sensation and it’s amazing.
The last one I want to talk about is The Body Shop body butter. I feel like I can’t talk about body butters without talking about The Body Shop. They have awesome products in general but I really love this one. It’s perfect to throw in your purse for use throughout the day. The scent smells of coconut and I love that.
I hope enjoyed my favorite body butters! Do any of you use these and what are your favorites?
Fall is such a great time for makeup lovers am I right? It’s fun to switch up your makeup when the seasons change and it gets a bit colder. I’ve been loving this Mac palette lately that is perfect for this time of year. With its purple hues and gorgeous mix of Matte, Satin, and frost shades it makes for a perfect palette. I will admit I was a little scared to use it when I first saw it but it can be used to make a really pretty natural everyday look. The bottom left shade is my favorite it’s perfect to blend into the crease. Plus Mac just slays their packaging. Sometimes I want products just because they look pretty. The tones in this palette are the perfect shades to wear during the Fall season. It isn’t the cheapest palette but it’s worth the price tag.
I’ve been seeing a lot about the skincare line the e.l.f has recently put out and have been trying two of the products from the range. I picked up the Daily Face Cleanser and the the Daily Hydration Moisturizer.
The Daily Face Cleanser comes out as gel formula and when I wash my face it foams up. It’s leaves my face feeling clean but without leaving my face feeling dried out. Over the course of using it I feel like it’s such a good option for a drugstore cleanser.
I’ve come to actually love The Daily Hydration Moisturizer. I wasn’t entirely sure whether I would like it or not I have discovered I love it. I didn’t at first like the feeling of it but once it settled into my skin and I put my makeup on my mind changed completely. My makeup sat so amazing on top of this moisturizer it’s one of my all time favorite drugstore moisturizers.
I loved both of these products for the new e.l.f Skincare line. For the price they are amazing. I am super passionate about skincare so that makes me super picky as well. They are a great drugstore option and will definently be a Fall favorite for when my skin gets dryer.
The other day I came home after a tough day and found a little package in my mail. I was thinking that this is strange I didn’t order anything. I came inside and opened it up and it was a few e.l.f products. I was so surprised and I am a big fan of e.l.f lately. I feel like they have stepped up their game in what they are producing. They sent me the Matte Lip color in Wine (which is a perfect shade for fall), Lip Balm in pink, a Eyeliner and Shadow Stick in Black, an eye shadow quad in Tantalizing Taupe, and the Perfect Finish HD Powder. I haven’t tried all of the product out but I’m sure they will be great! Wine is actually a color that I bought in their studio store a while ago but I’m not sure if it was matte so I’m excited to try this out. Sometimes blessings come in little packages and you have to learn to appreciate the little things in life.
I love supporting others who have the same passion as me so when I saw that Diva Makeup Queen on YouTube was coming out with her own palette of course I bought it. I’ve been watching DMQ for a while now and can say that she really does embody the concept of this palette which is “Dream Big.” It really is amazing that she did this on her own not through any company. Now lets get to the actual palette!
I absolutely love the colors in the “Dream Big” palette. They are right up my ally. I love the neutrals since I’m a neutral eyeshadow kind of girl but I also love the colorful options as well. Plus the finish of the eyeshadows are just beautiful!
In the picture I am wearing Passion in the crease and right above it. Then Faith right in the crease and Believe in the outer corners. All over the lid is actually the purple color which is called Imagination and to finish it out Gratitude is on my browbone. I love that all of the names of each shadow are what you need to dream big. Again congrats to DMQ on her launch of this amazing palette! If any of you are interested in this palette here is the link: http://dmq-cosmetics.myshopify.com
I’ve been in love with this Inglot Freedom System Palette for a couple of months now. I bought this on a whim on a trip to New York in Time Square at their studio store. Which I highly recommend it was such a fun experience creating this. Plus the girls that work there were very sweet and helpful. That aside the eyeshadows are like nothing I’ve used before so I am very excited to share this with you. Inglot eyeshadow are nothing new to the internet in fact I’ve seen blog post and YouTube videos about the Freedom System Palettes for years. I always just figured it was all just hype but I’m here to tell you that the hype is real people! The shadows are crazy pigmented and I wear them daily. The textures vary from shade to shade. The ones that have a pearl like finish seem to feel velvety and a lot of the matte shades are smooth but still feel a bit chalky.
Now for the packaging because this is what makes it really stand out to me. First off everything is magnetic which is awesome because that means my palette will never run out. When I run out of an eyeshadow all I have to do is order a new shade on the website and when it comes in pop the old one out and the new one in. The magnets and the fact that its super sturdy make this palette ideal for travel.
As you can probably tell I’m slightly obsessed with the Inglot Freedom System Palettes. I listed all the colors I have in mine below the photo so make sure to check it out. Don’t live in the Big Apple? No worries you can order one here http://www.inglotcosmetics.com
The endless search of the perfect red lip is over. At least for me it is. In the words of the lovely Taylor Swift red lips are classic. Well recently I was watching a video from the beauty vlogger Zoe Sugg and she recommended the Rimmel Kate Lipstick 107. Zoe and I have similar skin colors so I decided to buy it. Let me tell you it’s my favorite red ever! I love the Rimmel Kate lipsticks in general but this one shines. If you haven’t tried it you must! What’s your favorite red lip?
ColourPop is taking over the beauty world. Maybe I’m exaggerating a little but it seems like it. Kathleen from Kathleenlights on YouTube put out a Lippie with ColourPop called Lumière. I knew that I must have it. If you don’t know who she is the you need to go watch her videos right this second. She has such a fun personality and seems very down to earth. As you can tell I would probably buy anything she puts out but this Lippie Stix is amazing.I had heard the formulation of the Lippie Stixs were amazing but I can’t rave enough how amazing this really is. I love Matte lipsticks but sometimes they dry out my lips but Lumière is creamy and feels moisturizing. I put it on in the morning and didn’t have to reapply until late afternoon and to me that’s amazing. Lets talk about the color of this because Lumière is right up my ally. I love neutrals but this is like a neutral with a twist. I say this because its still neutral and wearable but its a color that I’ve never owned and I own a lot of neutral lipsticks. The most awesome thing about the Lumière Lippie Stix is that it’s only five dollars. This is a high quality product with a budget price and I love that.
