Review: Wet n Wild Photofocus Foundation & Concealer

I was browsing around Walgreens, as you do, when suddenly out of the corner of my eyes new Wet n Wild products catch my attention. Naturally I rushed over, who am I kidding I walked and probably super slow too. Anyways I saw the Photofocus line and instantly fell in love…I mean these are the most expensive looking products Wet n Wild has ever released but we will get into that soon enough. While looking through the stash of foundation I couldn’t find my color anywhere, darn my pale skin, finally at the very back and in the wrong spot I got the very last one. Then I proceeded to find the concealer and I did. The lightest shade looked to dark but I shrugged my shoulders and bought it anyways, I can’t be stopped when it comes to makeup.

Now for the actual review of the products. I have been wearing both of these products and I feel like I have a pretty good judgement on these product. First off I will say if you have dry skin you will absolutely hate the foundation. It dries out on your skin so quickly. My skin is normal so I didn’t mind it so much. The foundation is a great color match for my skin and gave a really nice Matte finish. I wore this foundation my whole work day and noticed that it settled into my pores and really extenuated them. This foundation is horrible and for six bucks it doesn’t get much cheaper! The concealer is the real surprise for me. I originally thought it would be to dark for my skin tone but it ended up being a perfect match. It blends out beautifully and does everything you want a concealer to do. Overall these products are so inexpensive and the quality is not bad either.

e.l.f Suprise

The other day I came home after a tough day and found a little package in my mail. I was thinking that this is strange I didn’t order anything. I came inside and opened it up and it was a few e.l.f products. I was so surprised and I am a big fan of e.l.f lately. I feel like they have stepped up their game in what they are producing. They sent me the Matte Lip color in Wine (which is a perfect shade for fall), Lip Balm in pink, a Eyeliner and Shadow Stick in Black, an eye shadow quad in Tantalizing Taupe, and the Perfect Finish HD Powder. I haven’t tried all of the product out but I’m sure they will be great! Wine is actually a color that I bought in their studio store a while ago but I’m not sure if it was matte so I’m excited to try this out. Sometimes blessings come in little packages and you have to learn to appreciate the little things in life.

DMQ Dream Big Palette Review

I love supporting others who have the same passion as me so when I saw that Diva Makeup Queen on YouTube was coming out with her own palette of course I bought it. I’ve been watching DMQ for a while now and can say that she really does embody the concept of this palette which is “Dream Big.” It really is amazing that she did this on her own not through any company. Now lets get to the actual palette!

I absolutely love the colors in the “Dream Big” palette. They are right up my ally. I love the neutrals since I’m a neutral eyeshadow kind of girl but I also love the colorful options as well. Plus the finish of the eyeshadows are just beautiful!

In the picture I am wearing Passion in the crease and right above it. Then Faith right in the crease and Believe in the outer corners. All over the lid is actually the purple color which is called Imagination and to finish it out Gratitude is on my browbone. I love that all of the names of each shadow are what you need to dream big. Again congrats to DMQ on her launch of this amazing palette! If any of you are interested in this palette here is the link: http://dmq-cosmetics.myshopify.com

Inglot Freedom System Review

I’ve been in love with this Inglot Freedom System Palette for a couple of months now. I bought this on a whim on a trip to New York in Time Square at their studio store. Which I highly recommend it was such a fun experience creating this. Plus the girls that work there were very sweet and helpful. That aside the eyeshadows are like nothing I’ve used before so I am very excited to share this with you.

Right to Left colors: 21, 357, 457, 31, and 395
Right to Left colors: 21, 357, 457, 31, and 395
Inglot eyeshadow are nothing new to the internet in fact I’ve seen blog post and YouTube videos about the Freedom System Palettes for years. I always just figured it was all just hype but I’m here to tell you that the hype is real people! The shadows are crazy pigmented and I wear them daily. The textures vary from shade to shade. The ones that have a pearl like finish seem to feel velvety and a lot of the matte shades are smooth but still feel a bit chalky.

Now for the packaging because this is what makes it really stand out to me. First off everything is magnetic which is awesome because that means my palette will never run out. When I run out of an eyeshadow all I have to do is order a new shade on the website and when it comes in pop the old one out and the new one in. The magnets and the fact that its super sturdy make this palette ideal for travel.

As you can probably tell I’m slightly obsessed with the Inglot Freedom System Palettes. I listed all the colors I have in mine below the photo so make sure to check it out. Don’t live in the Big Apple? No worries you can order one here http://www.inglotcosmetics.com

The Perfect Red Lips

The endless search of the perfect red lip is over. At least for me it is. In the words of the lovely Taylor Swift red lips are classic. Well recently I was watching a video from the beauty vlogger Zoe Sugg and she recommended the Rimmel Kate Lipstick 107. Zoe and I have similar skin colors so I decided to buy it. Let me tell you it’s my favorite red ever! I love the Rimmel Kate lipsticks in general but this one shines. If you haven’t tried it you must! What’s your favorite red lip?

ColourPop Review: Kathleen’s Lumière Lippie Stix

ColourPop is taking over the beauty world. Maybe I’m exaggerating a little but it seems like it. Kathleen from Kathleenlights on YouTube put out a Lippie with ColourPop called Lumière. I knew that I must have it. If you don’t know who she is the you need to go watch her videos right this second. She has such a fun personality and seems very down to earth. As you can tell I would probably buy anything she puts out but this Lippie Stix is amazing.IMG_1955.JPGI had heard the formulation of the Lippie Stixs were amazing but I can’t rave enough how amazing this really is. I love Matte lipsticks but sometimes they dry out my lips but Lumière is creamy and feels moisturizing. I put it on in the morning and didn’t have to reapply until late afternoon and to me that’s amazing. Lets talk about the color of this because Lumière is right up my ally. I love neutrals but this is like a neutral with a twist. I say this because its still neutral and wearable but its a color that I’ve never owned and I own a lot of neutral lipsticks. The most awesome thing about the Lumière Lippie Stix is that it’s only five dollars. This is a high quality product with a budget price and I love that.

Brand Focus: W7 Cosmetics

About two years ago I discovered this brand on a trip to the UK and fell in love with their nail polish. I thought that’s the only thing they sold. After I was back in the states I discovered that it was actually a full line of makeup products but then sort of forgot about it. Well last year I rediscovered this company and actually bought the In the Buff Palette and the In the Nude palette which I did a full review here. http://floridafashionbabes.com/2014/11/05/urban-decay-naked-2-dupe/ This company is based out of London. It was created so that every women can have affordable high quality makeup. I love the concept. It has grown and grown over the years and now carries over five hundred fabulous products.W7forblogThis month I tried four new amazing products that I have to share. The Angel Eyes Palette is beautiful. The pigmentation of these shadows match up to high end eye shadows. The shimmers are especially creamy and easy to apply. The lipstick Red Tulip, which makes no sense because its pink, is lovely. Its creamy and glides onto your lips easily. Night Glow is a highlighter that gives you a beautiful pop of iridescence to your cheek bones. The Absolute Lashes is a great mascara it lengthens really well and I tend to go over it with my Maybelline the Rocket Mascara to make my lashes look a little fuller. I swatched two shades of the Angel Eyes Palette, Night Glow, and Red Tulip to show you just how amazing these are. w7forblog2

w7forblog3W7 continues to blow my mind with their inexpensive and high quality products. This brand is something to get excited for. Hope you enjoyed!

Tarte Bon Voyage Palette Review

I’m going to be honest and say I’ve never owned anything Tarte until this palette. It’s a bit crazy because Tarte is an amazing brand that everyone loves. This Bon voyage palette is gorgeous and I’ve been using it a lot lately so I thought I would share my thoughts.

IMG_1802.JPGAs you can see this palette is quite natural which is right up my ally. It’s also French themed which I love. It comes with 20 different shades that are all super wearable. When I’m finding a good eyeshadow there are two things that are important to me and those are that the eyeshadow is pigmented and that it is creamy. I love when you can put on a eyeshadow and it just meshes into your skin. I hate chalky and dusty eyeshadows. In this Tarte palette all the eyeshadows have gorgeous pigmentation and are creamy so they blend perfectly.

IMG_1808.JPG I’m very happy with this palette. Actually I’m beyond happy. It’s a great addition to my collection. I can now officially say I’m a Tartlette.

Splurge or Save? | Urban Decay Naked Skin or Revlon Nearly Naked

Drugstore dupes for high end products can be amazing. It’s a great feeling when you get a makeup product that’s pretty much the same as a high end item for a for a fraction of the price. Today I’m going to be comparing the Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation to the Revlon Nearly Naked foundation.

IMG_1813.JPG Both foundations pretty much claim to do the same kind of things. They claim to give you an even natural complexion, to blur blemishes, and to feel weightless on your skin. Both of these foundations both give my skin an even complexion which is great but for me when it comes to foundations it about how long they last. The UD Naked Skin last way longer than the Revlon Nearly Naked foundation. The consistency of the UD foundation is super thin and super easy to blend into my skin. The Revlon foundation is thicker than Urban Decay but still thin. I find this one easy to blend with a buffing brush. Revlon claims this foundation to feel weightless but I find it to feel a bit heavy on my skin where as Naked Skin makes me feel like I have no makeup on. The price of the Naked Skin is $39 and the price of Nearly Naked is $10.99. The last thing to add is Nearly Naked contains sunscreen and Naked Skin does not. Whether you like sunscreen in your foundation varies from person to person.

To splurge or save? I would say to splurge. Nearly Naked isn’t a bad foundation but it’s no where near as good as Urban Decays Naked Skin foundation. Hope you enjoyed!
